Virgin or Sky – Which is the Best?

In every walk of life we always have choices. In some cases we have two choices that are very similar but with subtle differences. This is never truer than when we discuss internet providers. The internet has become a massive business and the providers know this, hence they try to offer us deals that we simply cannot refuse.

Virgin
Virgin are now a well know brand as we all associate it with Richard Branson. Virgin Media has taken this industry by storm by acquiring the old NTL network. Virgin offer the very latest in internet technology by producing 100Mb broadband which is currently the fastest connection in the UK. Virgin customer services are also regarded as one of the best as they are always on hand to help. Once installed, the system is easy to use. Virgin offers all the services that Sky offer including TV on demand which is the equivalent to Sky’s Anytime.

Sky
Sky has been around for years and they are often viewed as the safe bet. They offer a good range of services and a quick reliable internet service. Sky offers, at best, a 20Mb broadband option, but you must check your post code to check if this will apply to you. The system is easy to install and gives the subscriber access to Sky’s Anytime. Sky also have an interactive online system whereby you can track your order and make changes to your package. Overall Sky’s reputation speaks for itself but with regards to them being the best – a question often posed by many.
In conclusion
Both companies have something to offer and they both offer great customer service. However it has to be said, the fact that Virgin have the fastest broadband by far gives them the edge. As Virgin is now connectable by a standard phone line, getting Virgin could not be easier.
